This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Michigan International Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 041 in the Careers for Veterans 200 presented by Cooper Standard and Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation at the Michigan International Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Pocono (Pa.) Raceway on July 30 where they finished in the ninth-position after starting in the second-position in the chassis’ fourth appearance of the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. In the chassis’ four starts (Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway and Pocono Raceway) with John Hunter Nemechek, it has an average finishing position of 7.5.
Local Connection … The NEMCO Motorsports No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado will carry the Business Machines Company, Inc. (BMC) brand as the primary sponsor on Saturday, August 27 at the Michigan International Speedway. Headquartered in Lansing, Mich., Business Machines Company, Inc., provides services and hardware and software solutions for the grocery, restaurant and retail industries. Founded in 1958, the Business Machines Company, Inc. expansion continues from the Great Lakes Region.
In addition to the No. 8 Business Machines Company, Inc. Chevrolet Silverado sponsorship at the Michigan International Speedway, Business Machines Company, Inc. served as an associate sponsor for the team at the Eldora Speedway on July 20, where Nemechek finished in the 24th-place.
Locally Sourced … Melling, a leading manufacturer of fluid pumps, with a product line that includes oil, water and fuel pumps for gas, diesel, transmission and hybrid applications as well as other powertrain components for the worldwide transportation industry, will adorn the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado driven by John Hunter Nemechek at the Michigan International Speedway as an associate sponsor. Based in Jackson, Mich., Melling has a rich history within NASCAR, and is back to celebrate their 70th anniversary with the NEMCO Motorsports partnership.
Melling Racing had 39 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entries at the Michigan International Speedway resulting in strong performances that include seven victories with Bill Elliott and 14 top-five finishes, as well as 14 top-10 finishes. In addition, Melling Racing has 10 ARCA Racing Series entries at the two-mile track.

The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 17.0 and an average finishing position of 12.0 at the Brooklyn, Mich., facility.
Speedway Stats: In 21 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded two victories (Chicago and Atlanta), nine top-five and 13 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 89 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.
Race Rewind: Michigan International Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 SWM-NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished 12th-place in the Careers for Veterans 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn. An ill-handling Silverado and a pit road penalty on Lap 30 for an uncontrolled tire forced him toward the back of the lead lap trucks, where heavy traffic created obstacles for Nemechek’s debut at the track.
In the Rearview Mirror: Bristol Motor Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished eighth in the UNOH 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on August 17, 2016. Nemechek started in the 16th-postion for the UNOH 200, and by Lap 50 he was scored in the 20th-place. The 19 year-old maneuvered to the third position with less than 30 laps remaining in the 200-lap event. With no radio communication to his spotter on the final restart on Lap 194, Nemechek was shuffled back and ultimately finished in the eighth-place.
Season-to-date … Through the first 13 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2016 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 2025 of 2076 laps contested (97.5 percent), has led 61 laps and is currently eighth in the driver point standings. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected one victory (Atlanta), one pole award (Iowa), has three top-five and seven top-10 finishes, has spent 1,562 laps running in the top 15 and has made 520 green-flag passes thus far this season.
