NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Texas Motor Speedway ... This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ ninth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile track. The organization earned a team best finish of third-place at the Fort Worth, Texas-facility with Joe Nemechek on June 6, 2014. Eight starts at the Texas Motor Speedway have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 15.2 and an average finish of 11.9.

 

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 127 starts from six drivers, resulting in strong performances that include six victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, Gateway, and Iowa) and 27 top-five finishes, as well as 57 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 14.3 and an average finishing position of 14.0.

 

Collective NEMCO Motorsports … In this season's 20 events, NEMCO Motorsports' two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have posted two victories (Gateway and Iowa), eight top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 3,208 laps and have lead 100 of those laps. John Hunter Nemechek and Joe Nemechek rank sixth and 28th respectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver points.

 

All in the Family … Team owner Joe Nemechek has found success in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) at the Texas Motor Speedway with one victory (2003), four top-five and five top-10 finishes in 19 starts. Nemechek is credited with one top-five finish and one top-10 finish in 23 starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) at the Texas Motor Speedway. In addition, Nemechek has three NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the Texas Motor Speedway, all resulting in top-ten finishes, including a third-place finish in 2014.

This Week's NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Texas Motor Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 041 in the JAG Metals 350 Driving Hurricane Harvey Relief at the Texas Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 30, where they finished in the eighth-place after starting in the 15th-place. In the chassis’ nine starts at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Michigan International Speedway and the Homestead-Miami Speedway with Nemechek, the chassis has an average finishing position of 13.8.

 

ROMCO Equipment Co. … The NEMCO Motorsports No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado returns to the Texas Motor Speedway with ROMCO Equipment Co., as the co-primary partner, part of a continued relationship with NEMCO Motorsports and driver John Hunter Nemechek. Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on November 6, 2015.

 

Speedway Stats: In 37 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded three victories (Chicago, Atlanta and Gateway), 11 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 163 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.

 

Race Rewind: Texas Motor Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 ROMCO Equipment Co., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in 21st-place in the WinstarOnlineGaming.com 400 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 9 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. After starting in the eighth-position in the 28-truck field, Nemechek finished Stage 1, Lap 40, in the fifth position, and Stage 2, Lap 80, in the fourth position. On Lap 138, Nemechek was involved in an incident and his Chevrolet Silverado sustained enough damage in the incident to send it to the garage.

 

In the Rearview Mirror: Martinsville Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, scored a 30th-place finish in the Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Martinsville Speedway on October 28. On Lap 37 during Saturday’sNASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoff event at the Martinsville Speedway, Nemechek lost brake function resulting in the truck’s rear making contact with the wall and ultimately ending his day at the Virginia short track.

 

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoffs … With his win at the Gateway Motorsports Park on June 17, John Hunter Nemechek claimed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoff eligibility with a victory during the regular season. Nemechek is sixth in the Round of 6 Playoff standings with 14 playoff points.

 

Season-to-date … Through the first 20 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2017 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 2487 of 3001 laps contested (82.9 percent) and has led 100 laps. Nemechek is currently sixth in the driver point standings and sixth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected two victories (Gateway and Iowa), seven top-five and 10 top-10 finishes, has spent 1,986 laps running in the top 15 and has made 579 green-flag passes thus far this season.


John Hunter Nemechek NCWTS Texas Preview

This Week's NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Texas Motor Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 037 in the Striping Technology 350 at the Texas Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 1 where Nemechek finished in the 16th-position after starting in the 15th-position in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Earlier in the season, Chassis No. 037 was driven into victory lane at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway. This chassis made its maiden voyage on-track at the Kansas Speedway in May 2015.

 

"Deep in the Heart of Texas" ... This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s third Texas Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 17.5 and an average finishing position of 9.0 at the 1.5-mile track. Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on November 6, 2015.

Race Rewind: Texas Motor Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, qualified in the 23rd-postion in the 250.5-mile NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 10, 2015 at the Texas Motor Speedway, running as high as fifth, but he eventually finished in seventh-place. The finish was Nemechek’s third top-10 finish of the 2016 season, and a career-best finish at the Texas Motor Speedway.

 

In the Rearview Mirror: Martinsville (Va.) Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the third-position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions at the Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 29. Nemechek travelled to the .526-mile paperclip-shaped Martinsville oval with two previous consecutive second-place finishes at the Ridgeway, Va., facility. Nemechek started the 200-lap event from the 12th-place and wasted no time in his bid for the lead, racing into the top-ten by Lap 70 and taking over the top spot on Lap 158. He led the next 18 circuits around the track before the caution on Lap 177, and Nemechek restarted in the second-place before crossing the finish line in the third-place.

 

Season-to-date … Through the first 20 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2016 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 2837 of 3008 laps contested (94.3 percent), has led 99 laps and is currently eighth in the driver point standings. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected two victories (Atlanta, Canada), has one pole award (Iowa), has five top-five and ten top-10 finishes, has spent 2,179 laps running in the top 15 and has made 748 green-flag passes thus far this season.


John Hunter Nemechek Looks Towards Texas Motor Speedway

John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 041 in the Rattlesnake 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded the NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 21 finishing in the 12th-position after starting in the 21st-postion, as weather conditions canceled qualifying. This chassis made its maiden voyage on-track at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

In the Rearview Mirror: Charlotte Motor Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the 12th-postion in the rain-delayed North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on May 21. By Lap 30 Nemechek was scored in sixth-place after starting in the 21st-postion. However, varying fuel strategies hindered Nemechek from contending for the win in the closing laps of the 201-mile event.

 

Season-to-date … Through the first six NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2016 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 959 of 989 laps contested (97.0 percent), has led 8 laps and is currently seventh in the driver point standings. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has one victory (Atlanta), two top-five and two top-10 finishes, has spent 708 laps running in the top 15 and made 325 green-flag passes thus far this season.
