This Week's NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Martinsville Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 034 in the Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at the Martinsville Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Martinsville Speedway on October 29, 2016 where Nemechek finished in the third-position after starting in the 12th-position in the chassis’ fourth appearance of the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Since 2014, Chassis No. 034 has five top-five finishes, and an average finishing position of 10.08 in 12 starts.

 

Paperclip Review ... This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s eighth Martinsville Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 14.7 and an average finishing position of 10.9 at the .526-mile track. Nemechek has led for a total of 50 laps at the historic track. In addition, Nemechek made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut on October 26, 2013 at the Virginia short track behind the wheel of the No. 22 family-owned machine.

 

Short Track Stats: In 13 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded four top-five and seven top-10 finishes, with an average starting spot of 12.0 and an average finish of 10.6 on these racetracks.

 

Race Rewind: Martinsville Speedway … Last year John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the third-position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions at the Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 29. Nemechek travelled to the .526-mile paperclip-shaped Martinsville oval with two previous consecutive second-place finishes at the Ridgeway, Va., facility. Nemechek started the 200-lap event from the 12th-place and wasted no time in his bid for the lead, racing into the top-ten by Lap 70 and taking over the top spot on Lap 158. He led the next 18 circuits around the track before the caution on Lap 177, and Nemechek restarted in the second-place before crossing the finish line in the third-place.

 

In the Rearview Mirror: Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek had a strong start at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Active Pest Control 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, but an early ending resulted in a 29th-place finish for the driver of the No. 8 NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado. After starting in the 11th-place in the 32-truck field, Nemechek finished the first 40 lap segment in the seventh position. He continued to show strength, climbing all the way to fourth. A flat right-front tire on Lap 79 around the 1.54-mile oval sent Nemechek into the wall. Forced to pit road to repair damage, crew chief Gere Kennon determined the No. 8 NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet was too damaged to repair.

 

Season-to-date … Through the first two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2017 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 179 of 230 laps contested (77.8 percent), has led 0 laps and is currently 12th in the driver point standings, 15th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Owner points. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected one top-five and one top-10 finish, has spent 127 laps running in the top 15 and has made 118 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 042 in the UNOH 175 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Gateway Motorsports Park on June 25, finishing in the sixth-position after starting in the fourth-position. In addition, at the Iowa Speedway on June 18, Chassis No. 42 qualified on the pole. This chassis made its maiden voyage on-track at the Gateway Motorsports Park in 2015.

Magic Mile ... This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s third New Hampshire Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 11.0 and an average finishing position of 5.0 at the track.

Speedway Stats: In 22 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded two victories (Chicago and Atlanta), nine top-five and 13 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 89 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.

Race Rewind: New Hampshire Motor Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, did his best to master the 1.058-mile oval and finished in the fifth-position in the UNOH 175 on September 26, 2015. Nemechek started the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event in the 12th- position and methodically progressed to the sixth-position by Lap 40. Consistently competitive laps continued until Lap 120 as Nemechek was scored in the 12th-place, and he was able to battle back to sixth-place by Lap 170 to eventually finish in the fifth-position.

In the Rearview Mirror: Chicagoland Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 #TeamTurtle / #TeamFoot Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished in the 14th- position in the American Ethanol e15 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at the Chicagoland (Ill.) Speedway last week on September 16. Nemechek began the 151-lap race around the 1.5-mile tri-oval from the 18th-position in the 32-truck field. By Lap 20 the Mooresville, N.C., had climbed to the ninth position while also battling tight-handling conditions. Over the course of three pit stops the changes worked to Nemechek’s favor, but they weren’t quite enough to allow him to leverage the Chevrolet’s horsepower in the final laps.

Season-to-date … Through the first 16 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2016 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 2304 of 2393 laps contested (96.3 percent), has led 81 laps and is currently third in the driver Chase point standings. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected two victories (Atlanta, Canada), one pole award (Iowa), has four top-five and eight top-10 finishes, has spent 1,768 laps running in the top 15 and has made 649 green-flag passes thus far this season.


NEMCO NCWTS Dover Preview

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Dover International Speedway .  This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the one-mile “Monster Mile.” The organization earned a team best finish of sixth-place with John Hunter Nemechek on May 30, 2014. Two starts at the Dover International Speedway have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 6.5 and an average finish of 14.0.

 

NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization has logged 74 starts from five drivers, resulting in strong performances that include three victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago and Atlanta) and 16 top-five finishes, as well as 37 top-10 finishes, along with an average starting position of 14.1 and an average finishing position of 12.3.

 

All in the Family … Team owner Joe Nemechek has one win (2003), four top-five and eight top-10 finishes in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 27 starts at the Dover International Speedway. In 39 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the “Monster Mile,” Nemechek has one top-five and five top-10 finishes.

John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 034 in the Jacob Companies 200 at the Dover International Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded the NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Martinsville Speedway on April 2 to qualify eighth and finish in second position. In the last four appearances of Chassis No. 034, Nemechek has finished fifth or better.

 

Nemechek at the “Monster Mile” ... This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s third Dover International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 6.5 and an average finishing position of 14.0 at the one-mile track.

 

Welcome Cricket SX3 … The electric sport vehicle Cricket SX3’s logo will adorn the hood of the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado NEMCO Motorsports machine this weekend at the Dover International Speedway. Autism: Understanding the Puzzle … To help generate awareness for Autism, John Hunter Nemechek will be showing his support for Autism Delaware’s mission throughout the race weekend by displaying a puzzle piece decal on his No. 8 Cricket SX3 Chevrolet Silverado.

In the Rearview Mirror: Kansas Speedway ... John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Andy's Frozen Custard Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, finished 28th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race last Friday at the Kansas Speedway. After rising to second from his sixth-place starting spot, Nemechek was on his way toward securing a solid finish in the extended 170-lap race around the 1.5-mile oval, when an early-race accident on Lap 48 caused damage to the No. 8 Chevrolet, and the night ended in dejection with two bouts of on-track trouble—including  a blown tire.

 

Season-to-date … Through the first four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2016 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 625 of 655 laps contested (95.4 percent), has led 8 laps, and is currently fifth in the driver point standings. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has one victory (Atlanta), two top-five and two top-10 finishes, has spent 469 laps running in the top 15 and made 228 green-flag passes so far this season.
